Dawn Lomax is the beloved wife of American journalist and CNN newscaster, Leon Harris.

Dawn and Leon met at the Ohio University. The couple tied the knot in August of 1986. Dawn is a nurse at a local hospital. The couple currently lives in Avenel, Potomac, Maryland.

They are blessed with a son and a daughter namely; Darren and Lauren.

Darren is a graduate of Bucknell University and resides in Seattle, WA; While Lauren is a graduate of Temple University. She is an early childhood education teacher who resides in Atlanta, GA.

Harris was diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitis in 2013. Necrotizing pancreatitis is an inflammatory process of the pancreas, that led to a health crisis.

Harris was moved to Suburban Hospital and afterward transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital based in Baltimore. He told CNN that he came close to dying a few times while he got hospitalized.
