Jake Cefolia 49, a senior vice president of worldwide sales was reported missing on Aug. 8, 2020

Later he was found “hanging by a belt from an uprooted tree.” His wallet, driver’s license, and a backpack with personal items were at the scene.

Reportedly, it was confirmed through an autopsy that human remains found at a suburban Chicago nature preserve are of a Jake, which has been missing for more than a year.

Additionally, dental records were used to confirm the identity of 50-year-old Jacob “Jake” Cefolia of Elmhurst, according to the DuPage County coroner. However, the cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.

Who is Kristine Cefolia?

Kristine Cefolia is widely recognized as the former wife of Jake Cefolia.

Jake Cefolia Criminal Investigation Involves His Ex-Wife

His ex-wife Kristine Cefolina reported his missing on August 8.

According to her, she left numerous text messages and emails but he never replied. In fact, she mentioned she has not heard from him since August 6.  She added their son went to his house for dinner and saw him extremely drunk.

It appears that the police showed up at his house with a search warrant on August 6, just the day before Cefolia vanished. Reportedly, his vehicle was later spotted outside the Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve in Lemont. Further, the officials mentioned that he was not found following the extensive search of the forest preserve.

His personal belongings were discovered with his body on October 22, 2021, a year after he was reported missing.
