A 15-year-old teen girl from Maple valley, Kasama Smith, allegedly tried to “scare” a jogger with her vehicle when she reportedly struck and killed him.

According to King County investigators, the juvenile girl accused of killing a jogger in a July hit-and-run handed herself into deputies last week.

According to the witness, they were moving at around 50 miles per hour.

“A beloved husband, father, and friend was taken from Maple Valley way too soon,” stated King County Sheriff Mitzi G. Johanknecht.

“Nothing will return Greg home,” Johanknecht stated, “but I want to convey my heartfelt gratitude to the MARR detectives who have been working this case relentlessly since July.”

“I’d also like to thank the Maple Valley community for not allowing Greg’s memory to fade.”
