Vietnamese-American news anchor Betty Nguyen is currently residing in the metropolitan New York area. She loves exploring new places where ever she goes for covering a sensational news story.

She was born on September 1, 1974, in Saigon, Vietnam. She is of Vietnamese and Scottish ancestry. During the Fall of Saigon in April 1975, Nguyen and her family fled Vietnam for the United States.

Betty is a caring wife and a proud mom, which she described in her Twitter bio. Her husband, Anthony-Joseph “A.J.” DiMatteo, is the founder and C.I.O. of Global F.X. Capital firm.

Nguyen and DiMatteo walked down the aisle in a royal wedding ceremony in New York. They then welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Thomas, in December 2015. Furthermore, the couple became blessed with another son, Christopher, in July 2018.

The pair are raising their two adorable children in a friendly environment. Moreover, they love spending quality time with their sons during their spare time. Currently, they are living in their New York-based lavish house.

Nguyen announced that she is joining the PIX11 Morning News program on Friday, May 12, 2017. She took over the designation of former news anchor Sukanya Krishnan after 17 years, from June 1, 2017.

Before that, Nguyen used to work for N.B.C. and MSNBC News Channels. She anchored in Early Today and First Look programs.

Not just that, Nguyen became a correspondent at The Today Show and fill-in news anchor for Weekend Today. She also served as a contributor at N.B.C.’s Today Parenting Team.

Betty initially joined C.B.S. Network at the beginning of her career. She was a news anchor for This Morning Saturday, Morning News, and The Early Show. She also worked at CNN Newsroom weekend edition before joining C.B.S. News.

Nguyen earned a Bachelor in Broadcast Journalism with manga cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin. She is actively working with her charity foundation, Help the Hungry, to provide humanitarian aid to underprivileged communities.
