Samantha Smith is the sister of late rapper Nipsey Hussle. She works as a Skin Therapist and owns a skin treatment company called Glo by Samantha Smith that provides professional facial treatments, skin consultations and facial mapping.

Nipsey Hussle and two others were shot outside his clothing store, Marathon Clothing, in the Hyde Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles, California on March 31, 2019. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The two other people were hospitalized in critical condition as a result of the shooting.

The shooter allegedly approached Hussle and his crew on foot and fired multiple rounds, then fled the scene in a nearby car.

Following Nipsey Hussle’s death, Samantha Smith took to social media to pay tribute to him. She shared a photo of herself holding her son Khalil while laughing with her brother. She wrote:

Samantha Smith and Nipsey Hussle’s Daughter Guardianship

Nipsey Hussle’s sister, Samantha Smith, is reportedly seeking guardianship of his oldest child and only daughter Emani Asghedom.

According to TMZ, Samantha Smith filed legal documents in Los Angeles and asked the L.A. Supreme Court for guardianship and reportedly stated that Emani’s mother, Tanisha Asghedom, was unfit to have full custody of the young child. Hussle was the sole guardian for Emani before his untimely death. Samantha also states that she has always played an integral part in her niece’s life and wants to continue doing so in light of her brother’s demise.
